Membership Recruitment: Over the past thirty years we have participated in many different membership campaigns with varying results. However, the most successful campaign is one done on a personal basis throughout the year and this has proven to be the best retention tool. Whether you use a sales person on staff or get your members to help you sell the organization to new members, your campaign will be more successful if incentives are provided. We have several ideas that can be shared on what works and what doesn’t.
Member Retention: During the past eleven years, we have been responsible for bringing over 1,500 new members to an organization with a loss ration of 5 ½% over that period of time. Part of our success was the manner in which our memberships were sold and part was in the programs that were provided to keep the members attention and participation in the organization.
